The Suwannee Hulaween Festival is more than just music; it’s a place where art comes alive,
shines, and draws you into another world. This is Spirit Lake, a vast, multi-sensory space where
creativity runs free, and stories are told through light, sculpture, and imagination.
In 2024, Spirit Lake’s theme, “Escaped”, transformed the grounds into a living story. Towering
aquatic creatures roamed the shoreline, fire installations blazed through the night, and the mind-
bending Magic Mirror by Sporeganic invited festivalgoers to step into another dimension.
Creative Director Justin Bolognino and the Spirit Lake team curated a mix of iconic favorites
and bold new works, each piece offering more than just spectacle, but a story.
For The Unapparent Magazine, this is where our missions align. We believe art is at its most
powerful when it refuses to stay on the wall, when it surrounds you, challenges you, and
whispers in your ear that the world can be stranger, wilder, and more beautiful than you
imagined. Spirit Lake is an unapologetic celebration of art that speaks directly to the soul while
wowing the senses.
